Excellent Caves

Today I have an excellent seed to share with you!

You will spawn next to a village, which has a blacksmith, so make sure you head there first to empty the chest (it contains quite a few items, including iron ingots and obsidian blocks) and then I'd suggest exploring the caves nearest to the blacksmiths.

This cave system is HUGE! There's lots of iron and coal ore in these caves and, as you descend further, you'll find lots of gold and redstone. There are also pockets of diamonds to be found (I found 12 diamond ore on my brief expedition through the caves).

Watch out for the zombies as there's a dungeon in here too, with a couple of chests full of goodies.

Seaside Village

The first seed I have to share with you is pretty cool, as you spawn right next to a seaside village.

If you explore a few of the caves near the village, you'll find it's actually a massive cave system with lots of underground waterfalls, plenty of coal and iron ore, and a reasonable amounts of lapis lazuli, redstone and diamond ore (if you're exploring on survival mode, you'll need lots of torches).

Type of world - Infinite

Seed - Erised

Welcome to Minecraft PE Seeds & Stuff :-)

Recently I've been enjoying playing the Pocket Edition of Minecraft on my Android tablet, and I thought I'd start this blog to share interesting seeds that I find whilst playing.

Now, first things first...

What is a seed?

Every time you create a new world in Minecraft, it is assigned a unique value, known as a seed; this seed allows minecraft players to share the worlds that they have found with other people.

How do I use a seed?

Open your Minecraft PE app, and click on 'Play'.

Click on 'New' to open the 'Create a World' screen.

To enter a seed, you'll need to click on the 'Advanced' button (a new input box named 'Seed' will appear).

Enter the seed value (making sure it is exactly the same, including any capital letters) and choose your world type (Old, Infinite or Flat) some seeds will only work on one type of world. Most of the seeds I post about will be Infinite worlds.

Click 'Create World' and you should be standing in the exact same world as me :-)

If you choose 'Creative', you will be able to fly around and explore before deciding if it is a world you wish to try in 'Survival' mode.
